Wish to Fly (Open)

[Leafkit]

A small little girl with short brown curly hair appeared from Vinestar's den. Her bright excited brown eyes looking around at the clearing. She gave a joyful giggled and ran down to the clearing. Not many warriors were in the clearing, not many were in the clan, but it mattered very little to Leafkit. She was just happy to be alive. She lost her mother at birth and no one knew her father or if she had any other family. She would have been alone if it was not for Vinestar's caring heart. Leafkit was fully aware that the leader was not her mother, but she treated her as such. Leafkit was sad of course to not have a family, but she had not right to complain, she had someone who cared for her.

Little Leafkit turned her head and a bright smile appeared on her face as she got sigh of a beautiful amber colored butterfly. She jumped up and down clapping her hands with joy. She skipped after the butterfly reach her hands out to catch it gentle in her hands, but the butterfly was to fast and to high for the little girl to catch. She looked at the butterfly with sad brown eyes as it flew higher in the sky beyond any ones reach. For some reason Leafkit began to cry, she wanted her mother and longed to know her father. The little girl did her best to hide her sadness form other so not to burden them, but now she just could not hold it in. She covered her eyes with her animal skin gloves and began to soak the skin with tears.

[Vinestar]

Vinestar heard the clapping, then silence, then a few moments later the sound of quiet crying. Her face crowded with concern as she started toward it. "Hello? Is everything alright?" She asked, she had just left her den, a little after Leaf did. She came up behind Leafkit, waiting a moment, "Leelee are you alright?" She asked quietly, putting her hand on her shoulder.

[Leafkit]

Leafkit slowly turned her head to gaze her watery brown eyes up at the leader. She was very beautiful for a female and her eyes were so catching and Leafkit loved to gaze at them. One was gold like a leaf fall tree and the other like fresh moss that you would find by a peaceful stream. She had soft pale skin and light brown hair that was just as soft. Leafkit could not help but love the female and wish she was her true blood mother. Then she would know that she was loved and was not such a waste that her father and mother never wanted her. Of course the death of her mother could not be helped.

Leafkit turned her body towards Vinestar and then burst. She wrapped her arms around her waist and pressed her head against her stomach. She pulled herself close to Vinestar and continued to cry. "My did daddy never love me and I'm such a curse that I killed Mommy! Vinestar, why am I such a curse? Am I a bad person?" Leafkit just gazed up at Vinestar and tried to hold back the clear tears that streamed down her face.

[Vinestar]

Vinestar slowly picked up Leafkit, holding her tight. "You aren't a curse, you are a blessing." She kissed the young girls head, "You might not think so, but you are a blessing to me." She cradled her close, "You aren't a bad person either, you are wonderful." She gently put her down, then touched her hands to each shoulder, making her look at her. "You are all deserving of everything you could get, you are kind, beautiful, and strong. Your father was stupid, but either way, you were led to me." She took a calming breath, "I may not be your blood, but I am your mother." She pulled her close in a hug again.

[Leafkit]

Leafkit gazed up at the leader with bright brown eyes. They hard turned from a clouded storm to a bright clear brown sky. Vinestar was truly her mother. Maybe it was fate that no one knew her father and her mother's life ended as Leafkit's life began. A blessing that Leafkit and Vinestar were in the same Clan. It was fate that Vinestar would take Leafkit as her own. Thought their blood was different it was fate that Vinestar would mother Leafkit and no one else.

Leafkit stopped crying and began to smile. Her smile was soft, gentle, and very happy. "I love you Mommy!" Leafkit wrapped her arms, gentle around Vinestar's neck and pressed her forehead against her shoulder. Leafkit was truly happy to be with Vinestar, even thought she wished she had her real mommy and daddy. Leafkit then got an idea in her head. Her mother was a true born FeatherClan warrior, so maybe Vinestar could tell her about her true mother. The she-cat was known by the name of Lightbird. Leafkit imaged her to be a beautiful she-cat that was kind and gentle, but was it true? "Vinestar could you tell me about my real Mommy?"

(Make it how ever you like. She can be evil or nice.)

[Vinestar]

She smiled, nodding. "Of course, sweetie." She sat down, crosslegged, and placed Leafkit on her lap. "Your mother was odd, not in a bad way, I promise. But she was different, she was always quiet, she liked to keep to herself." She thought for a second, "She used to be quite helpful to our old Shaman, always getting whatever herbs needed. She was so kind until your father came along, gosh, I can't even remember his name." She smiled sadly for a moment, "When he came, she changed, she tried so hard to impress him. They became very close, you couldn't separate them. They became distant from the rest of the clan, Dreambright, our old Shaman, was saddened the most, they were close friends." She smiled happily at the thought, glancing at Leelee. "When she became pregnant with you, she was so excited. She started to become more like the old her, but more social. Then your father became upset, she wasn't paying attention to only him." She sighed, "Then he left, on the day you were born. He didn't know until he came back, much later. Your mother had passed by that time, and I had started taking care of you. Your father tried to take you back, but I wouldn't let him, no one would." She kissed her forehead lightly, "That's the story, darling."

[Leafkit]

Leafkit looked up at listen to the story of her mother and father. Lightbird was not what she had imaged her mother to be. She was, in fact, the very opposite of what he mother was like in her dreams. The Mother she had dreamed of was outgoing, cheerful, caring, and always out there. The real Lightbird was shy, drawn back, and not someone Leafkit would really look up to. Then her father, well Leafkit had no real idea of what to believe or begin to hope for from him. His looks were unknown, his personality, and even his name. Leafkit knew nothing of her father, who was no longer in the Clan. He seemed very possessive and selfish. Leafkit didn't have anyone who toke the place of a father for her and Vinestar had not mate so no one really took the place, but as Leafkit thought on it she was glad her Adopted mother had no one. She knew this was wrong, but she wanted Vinestar to only love her, of course the Clan had her love, but not in the way that Leafkit had it. Leafkit was special to her and it was the same for Leafkit.

Turning her head, she gazed up at Vinestar and smiled warmly. "I'm glad Vinestar is my mommy, I would not wish for it to be any other way." Leafkit turned around and hugged Vinestar once more. "You will always love me. Right?"

[Vinestar]

She smiled, hugging Leafkit tight. "Always and forever, even when I'm up in StarClan." she stood up, pulling Leafkit with her. "And one day maybe you'll have another dad that loves you just like I do. Doesn't that sound nice?" she asked, holding her hand.
In reality, she didn't really believe there would ever be someone. Vinestar was to devote to others to take time for herself. She wouldn't spoil it though, maybe someone would happen along.

[Leafkit]

Leafkit let Vinestar's strength pull her to her feet and she stood gazing up at the beautiful female with bright brown eyes. Yes, Leafkit had a family, it was just a mother, but she didn't mind at all. She was loved so much and was not alone in this world, that made her very happy.

Leafkit's face brighten as she got a wonderful idea that she found to be so wonderful that nothing could compare and be equal or greater. "Say Vinestar, can you take me out into the territory?"

[Vinestar]

Smiling brightly, her face changed, it had a sort of glow that wasn't present before. She was truly happy to share the territory with her. "Of course, Leelee!" her eyes glinted as she gently took her hand. "Where would you like to start? We can go near a border, most clans are okay with us. We could just go to the hills...? Anything you want." her smile stayed on her face, and it wasn't a normal small smile that she had, this was a completely happy smile.

(Haha no worries, mine are kinda short, I'm writing on my iPod so it's a pain in the butt.)

[Fastwind]

Fastwind came to the clearing.She saw Vinestar and the little cuteness,Leafkit.They must have been talking.,Fastwind thought.She sat down.She whispered,"Hello little one.",to Leafkit and,"Hi Vinestar,am I interupting?"

She grabbed hold of the ground.She wished she could be Leafkit's adopted mother but Vinestar,was her adopted mom.Every time she tougth of Leafkit's story she cried.Such a sweet ,little kid with such a sad story was terrible.It reminded her of her sister,Fernleaf of Frostclan.Both their stories were sad.Fastwind let a tear drop down her face.Such sad life's.

[Vinestar]

Vinestar shook her head, "Of course not, I was just speaking with my wonderful daughter." She smiled and glanced at Leelee. "What is wrong, Win?" She gently reached out and cupped the warriors cheek.

[Fastwind]

Fastwind said slowly,"You know about Fernleaf my sister.And poor Leelee's story is so sad."
(Totally lazy.Sorry.)

[Vinestar]

She nodded, taking one of her hands. "Fern was strong, she made it through, just like my little Leelee will."

[Fastwind]

Fastwind nodded.She knew Leelee would cope with the face of reality.She was strong.Fastwind thought a moment.When Leafit became Leafpaw could I be her mentor,Fastwind thought.
