Streamclans Shaman shivered due to the cold. It was freezing out, and the lake could practically blister your skin at the slightest touch. Lavenderfrost pulled the soft furs that cloaked her body around herself tighter , her teal eyes scanning her surroundings. She continued to search the shore line, looking for any sort of herb that she could scavenget before winter. Finding some burdock root, she grinned in delight! She bent down, carefully uprooting it from the ground and putting it in her fur her pouch. She heard a nearby splash. Was someone hunting? She raised her head, tilting it to the side curioisly. Hello?

Sleetfall came out from hiding holding a flat stone with some fish on it. "Hey Lavenderfrost. I don't mean to disturb you..but I've brought you food. I thought you'd want some." He blinked his pale, clouded eyes, a slight smile in his lips. "But I'll bring it back if you don't want it."

Lavenderfrost blinked, and smiled too, taking the fish from him. Thanks! I was actually starting to get hungry. Its good to know we can still actually get food, herbs are getting really hard to find. She said, taking a bit of one of the fish. Offering him one of them. The fish may not have been as big as usual, but it was better than nothing. You should be more careful though, wading in that water. Especially with your-..." She caught herself and trailed off, not wishing to bring up his lack of sight. That would be rude.

As much as Sleetfall wanted to snap at her to stop worrying about him like a mother, he kept his mouth shut. "I wasn't the one that caught them. It was Amaranthlight. She got three of them with one throw of her spear. I thought it was impressive. But I guess that's why she was chosen as the deputy.." He laughed slightly, trying to get the awkwardness to fly away. It was always a dream of Sleetfall's to become leader, but he knew it would never happen. Who would want a leader that couldn't see his own clan-mates?

I suppose so. She said, finishing off the fish then setting the stone slab down. Hey, do you think you could try to help me find some herbs? She asked, raising an eyebrow. Lets just say she had to teach him some medicine stuff at one point because they didnt think he could ever become a warrior. Look at him now though! Ive only managed to find some burdock and catnip. She said with a disappointed frown.

Sleetfall nodded to her. "Sure. Do you want any specific herb?" Please don't say cobwebs.. I hate those things. They're all sticky and clingy, getting all over your hands. He thought nervously, his hands twitching visibly. "I thought I smelled some marigold near the camp." Sleetfall suggested quickly, hoping she would send him there.

She thought, rubbimg her jaw. Hmmm, okay! Ill go get the marigolds, but what I really need is some cobwebs. It'd be great if you could get tgose for me! She said with a smile. Man, im horrible. Or, you can come with me to show me where to get the marigolds. She offered. Well, either way it would take the same amount of time. If they split up it would take her longer to find them alone.

Her words made Sleetfall scowl. It was like she could read minds! What the heck! "Yeah.. I'll show you where the marigold is." He reached out to grab her wrist, but hesitated. No, Sleetfall wouldn't do that. Sending out messages like, 'I'll hold your hand' is wrong. "Follow me." The warrior turned and his back to her and started to walk west from where they were. His sense of direction was probably the thing he had mastered the most because of his disability. Sleetfall took his daggers out and gripped them firmly. He would protect the shaman if they had an unwanted intruder.

She followed after him, looking around. The trees were nearly bare, and she felt a snowflake touch her face. It made her frown, and she silently swore. A few more began to fall around them, well this wasnt a good sign. After a little bit of walking she saw the Marigolds, the bright yellow almost too hard to look at. Wow, theres loads. She said, crouching, starting to pick them.

Sleetfall crouched down on the other side of the patch of marigold and started to pick them as well, figuring she would want as much as they could get. "Of you ever need any help, I'll probably be up for it."

She glanced over at him, smiling a bit. Thats good to know, thank you. She said, stuffing the marigolds in the pouch, leaving two or three so the plants could still make more. I think we've got enough, now off to the cobwebs! She exclaimed with a grin, taking the herbs he was holding from him and stuffing them in her herb bag.

Marigoldpaw,Lavenderfrost's new apprentice, sat high in a moss covered tree. She slowly slid down the tall tree. She didn't want to interupt her mentor.Slowly she peeked her head out of a bush. She saw a white haired man.He was next to some marigold patch. She crouched down again. What if they saw her spying on them?,she thought. She walked out and went to her mentor."Lavenderforst, who is this?",she whispered slowly.
