Love and Relax [P]

[Darkpaw]

Darkpaw leaned back against the wall of the cave, messing with his bow. He pulled back the string, his fingers stinging with pain. He put it down, looking at his arm muscles. They were rather small for their size. Darkpaw stood up, staring at the floor. He got down onto his hands and knees, his hair hanging down in his eyes.

He got into the push up position, letting him wobble. Slowly going down, Darkpaw felt his stomach tighten as he went back up. Over and over, DArkpaw did about 20 before finally let go, giving a pained gasp. His arms ached and quickly became sore. Crawling back to the wall, Darkpaw set himself against it, panting. Outside the bushes rustled.

[Foxpaw]

Foxpaw emerged from the bushes, a small smile on her face. "Hey, Darkpaw." She spoke, standing in front of him and looking down at him. "What are you up to?" She asked, raising it eyebrow. To her, it appeared as though he was working out or something. However, for the most part, she wasn't sure why. He appeared to be a rather skinny boy, so that could be a valid enough reason for him to need and want to work out more than the rest of the apprentices.

The young lady sat down in front of him, crossing her legs. Deciding as long as he was sitting, she should sit and make herself comfortable too.

[Darkpaw]

"Hi...er, Foxpaw. I was just failing at working out. Before you say anything, I was working out so I can improve my muscle strength. AS you can see, my biceps and triceps aren't the best looking. Besides, I want to be able to use my bow. Last time I tried, I hurt my fingers," he laughed, shaking his head. The teen stretched, looking at Foxpaw.

"So, what have you been doing?" he asked politly, blinking his deep blue eyes.

[Foxpaw]

She nodded a bit, then blinked. "Oh, nothing much lately. My mentor is usually busy with border patrols and such. Im apparently not experienced enough to go with her on them, so I guess I've just been cooped up in camp a lot of the time. Ya know, cleaning the elders bedding and such. Not exactly fun." She rambled, laughing a little.

[Darkpaw]

The 14 year old nodded, stretching out his now sore muscles.

"I wouldn't blame them. I would hate to run into a fox and be murdered by it. Besides, your mentor is Lionspirit, right? Yeah, it's not the best idea to have the deputy as your menotr. They're always busy and rarely have any time to themself, and then an apprentice comes into the picture, amking it harder for the deputy to train you and have her own free time," he said in a yawn, stretching his legs out.

[Maplepaw]

Maplepaw nervously stepped into the den, his blue eyes looking at his feet. It'll be alright.. Be brave. He thought to himself, twiddling his thumbs as he walked by the other apprentices. I don't even know why I was born here. I'm not fierce or big..or scary.. Nothing. "H-hi. I'm Maplepaw."

[Foxpaw]

She nodded frowning slightly. She would probably graduate later than the other apprentices. Some of the other warriors had helped train her when AshClans deputy was busy, but it still wasn't proper training. So, the apprentice had typically taken the oppertunity to train herself, learning by observing. "Yeah.." She said, rubbing her jaw in thought. "Hey, do you wanna go on a walk, maybe?" She asked him, raising an eyebrow. She really wanted to get out of the camp for once, and perhaps the other warriors wouldn't care as much if she was accompanied by someone.

Darkpaw saw a new apprentice. His name was Maplepaw. Darkpaw lifted a hand, waving slowly.

" 'Sup, Maplepaw. I am Darkpaw and this is Foxpaw. And sure, I wouldn't mind going on a walk. It is a bit stiffling in here. Might want to grab a deer skin though. It's pretty chilly out there. Here," Darkpaw stood up and popped his back, grabbing an extra deer skin coat. He slung one over his shoulder and handed Foxpaw a coat. He slipped his own on, shaking his head to one side. His hair followed his head shake and was swept to the side so he could see.

[Foxpaw]

Foxpaw grabbed the skin, waving to Maplepaw, then pulling on the Deer skin tightly around herself. She got to her feet, stretching a bit and looking around with her soft teal eyes, before looking at Darkpaw once more. She then, started to head out of the Apprentices cave, suspecting that he would be following her, heading out of camp and into Clan Territory. Looking around and putting her hands on her hips. "Where to first?"

[Darkpaw]

Darkpaw trotted after Foxpaw, yawning. He didn't get much sleep today, due to Snowfall training him. But, ho well. He slowed to a walk and found Foxpaw, and she asked him where to go.

"Well, we could go to the river. I don't care where we go, anywhere would be fine," he told her, examining the trees, his eyes watchful for danger.

"Maybe I should bring my bow," he quickly darted into the den and grabbed his bow up, taking about 20 arrows with him. That should be enough. Darkpaw went back to Foxpaw and brushed some dust bunnies off of his shoulder.

[Foxpaw]

The young apprentice smiled and nodded. "Sounds good to me!" She said, beginning to set off in that direction. The river was most likely frozen over by now, the weather was already cold before but with the recent cold front it was freeeezing. She looked around at the trees as they passed, she had never been more than a mile from the camp before, so this was all really new to her. Apprentices usually werent allowed to go to the river without a warrior accompanying them this tkme of the year. Due to the risk factor of one of them falling in.

When the pair arrived at the river, her jaw dropped, teal eyes shining in wonder and delight. She'd never seen the river in winter, and gosh it looked gorgeous. The bare trees perfectly canopying and curling above the polished ice surface. The perfect thickness to walk upon, however no matter what, you should still be careful treading it. The snowy bank sloped inward on the river nicely, and it was definitely an ideal piece of scenery. A sight for sore eyes.

[Darkpaw]

Darkpaw reached the river, his blue eyes widening.

"Woah," his voice was a hushed whisper as he stared out at the frozen river. Was it really that cold? He walked over to the river, brushing past Foxpaw. Kneeling onto one knee, he touched the ice. The cold numbed his fingers, causing him to draw them away. He wondered if it could support his weight. Darkpaw shook his head, knowing that that would be a stupid idea. He looked back at Foxpaw, flashing a small smile.

[Foxpaw]

Foxpaw blushed faintly from the brush for just a moment, then smiled back. Also getting curious, and a little adventerous, she put her foot on the ice. Applying her weight; it held. She then daringly put her other foot on the ice, grinning now and sliding around on it with surprising grace. Not slipping once. She went rather far out, okay maybe she was just being stupid now, going towards the middle of the river. Not only was it dangeroud, but this was the border between StreamClan. Eh, she could care less though. This was fun.

[Darkpaw]

"Be careful. I don't want you to fall in and get a chill," he warned her, reaching out with his firm hand. He stared at Foxpaw, looking down at her feet. He watched the ice creak under her weight, even though she probably didn't weigh that much. He sucked in the cold air, biting his lower lip.

"Watch your footing."

[Foxpaw]

"Ill be fiiine." She said with a naive smile. Practically just as she said that though, one area of the ice gave and her foot plunged into the water. She jumped, the electric burning chill of freezing water stabbing her foot like tiny spears. She squeaked mostly in surprise, jumping back. Then, laughing. Wow, she was uh...not very smart right now. She kept skating around, which was even dumber, really.
